The Auvergne, located in central France, incorporates
the Massif Central – a vast mountain area known for
its walking and snow sports.
The region is famous for its Romanesque churches,
castles and beautiful towns and villages.
Conducted far from the usual tourist routes,
our tour introduces you to the best of this
exciting region of France.

Trip outline
We commence in the Northern part of the province where we’ll stay for a few nights in a small village near the city of Vichy. We will walk in the nearby Livradois-Forez Park, the largest nature park in Europe and one with exceptional natural beauty and rich flora and fauna.

We’ll then travel to our chalet in a picturesque part of the mountains surrounded by forest walks. Here we’ll visit the local markets, try some restaurants and sample the odd patisserie. Here you are offered the opportunity to spend two nights at “La Juscine”, the home of a local shepherd, in the heart of alpine country.
